Ticket update!

Howdy Browncoats!

We've passed the 100 tickets mark!!! Any of you that might be holding out on us 'til the last minute - we only have about 30 tickets left, so you'd better get in now!

If you don't have the ability to do bank transfers OR Credit card, we are able to hold tickets at the door for people who would like to pay cash on the day.

see you on Saturday!

The Sydney screening is selling well - flyers have been distributed to a few sci-fi related shops in the CBD - so hopefully that will garner some interest, but we still have about 80 tickets left and only a week to sell them! so Spread the word, folks, this thing's gonna be a blast - and, as promised, here are some of the prizes that'll be up for grabs for you all:

Serenity Sydney Exclusive!! - you cannot buy these anywhere!!!: 2 Tickets to the Cocktail party of The Hub Production's next Convention in Sydney!!! (with Guests Amber Benson, and the Troika of nerds- Danny Strong, Tom Lenk and Adam Busch - this event is usually only included in the VIP ticket - which costs $350!)

Carissa from The Hub Productions has also kindly donated 2 day tickets to the Sydney con for our raffle, and some signed photos from their last event (Jewel Staite and Jonathan Woodward)

we've sold about 20 tickets so far, beyond nix and I and the people we're bringing, which I think is pretty damn spiffy for the first few hours. Thanks again, guys :D

Well, we have lift off!

After much haranguing of Cinemas and begging of UIP, as your almost certainly aware now that the cinema is booked and tickets are on sale. Currently, we're in the process of getting you guys some awesome prizes! So be sure and get your best Whedon outfits on, (I wanna see a Spike somewhere) because there should be an amazing prizes for best costumes.

The extra Serenity Mouse pads that are left over after ticket holders recieve theirs, will be available for sale for $5 each on the day. So, if you want to pick up a couple of extra, now's your chance.

We also will be recieving donations for Equality Now at the screening, and auctioning off some great gear!

If anyone would like to donate goods for auction, or prizes please feel free (honestly...feel free) to contact us via serenitysydney@hotmail.com to organise pick up, or just tell us what you have to give.

Also, anyone who cannot attend the screenings but would still like to donate money for Equality Now, then again please contact us via that email address.

I'd just like to add a little something that has been rolling around in my head all day.
This screening, is going to be awesome! No doubt about that. If anyone missed any of the pre screenings last year, now is your chance to experience a wonder like no other: Watching the Big Damn Movie with an audience of Big Damn Browncoats.
It's a fantastic and unique experience.

However, the thing that has been rolling around in my mind is this:
We will be saving and changing peoples lives, while we're having fun. This event, and every ticket sold across the world will help stop the violation of some woman, or child's basic human rights. There are girls who will never know (or suffer) the abuse their mothers suffered, because a bunch of people went and saw a movie.
That's powerful and in it's full context, the Can't Stop the Serenity Screenings, will effect change in peoples lives, by empowering Equality Now to do what they do.

So, beyond seeing a fantastic movie, in a room of fantastic people, we will make a difference.
I don't know about you, but when it comes to aiding in the freedom and stopping the injustices done to woman, then...
I Aim To MIsbehave!

Hi guys,

welcome to the new page about Sydney's "Serenity Now/Equality Now" screening.

The screening will take place on Saturday June 24th, 11AM, and will include an auction, raffle, prizes for people who go to the effort of dressing up as characters/In Whedon Related paraphenalia, so bring on the Jayne Hats, the 'Joss Whedon is my Master Now" T-shirts, make your own, try to rock our worlds, and score some great giveaways.

Tickets are $12 each - and include all of the aforementioned fun, plus a free Serenity Mousepad.
